MicroneedlingStimulate, Correct, Renew
BodyBrite The Woodlands takes Microneedling to a new level by bringing the innovative InnoPen to The Woodlands and surrounding areas.
Microneedling is a quick and virtually painless procedure that will give you smoother, firmer and younger looking skin. Micro-Needling (also known as collagen induction therapy) will induce the production of collagen and will also strengthen the epidermis.
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling also known as skin needling, derma rolling and collagen induction therapy basically induces collagen to be produced which will improve damaged skin. Common causes of damaged skin are: Aging; Acne; Scaring and Sun Damage. It does not eradicate wrinkles, or replace dermal fillers for very deep lines. It will improve the skin’s quality, thickness, luminosity, firmness and texture by stimulating new collagen growth.
What Will Microneedling Improve?
- Fine Lines and Wrinkles
- Acne Scaring
- Chicken Pox Scars
- Stretch Marks
- Enlarged Pores
- Aging and Lax Skin
- Scars from surgery including keloid and hypertrophic scarring
- Alopecia / Hair Loss
- Hyperpigmentation (dark spots)
Who Can Benefit from Microneedling?
It is safe for all skin colors and skin types.
Who Cannot Be Treated?
You should avoid Microneedling treatments if you have active acne, an infection on the skin such as herpes simplex, herpes zoster, mulluscum contagiosum, impetigo, active or inflamed rosacea, postular rosacea, broken skin, broken capillaries, hypersensitive skin, acute eczema, sunburned skin or an infected wound.
What Can I Expect to Feel and See After the Treatment?
A topical anesthetic cream is used before the treatment, so discomfort, if any, is minimal. The most sensitive areas tend to be the forehead and the upper lip.
Redness and swelling or bruising after the treatment may occur but quickly subside. After 24-48 hours the skin returns to normal. Sunscreen should be used and avoidance of the sun is strongly recommended after treatment. Best results are seen with a series of at least 4 to 12 treatments depending on your goals.
Repeat treatment every four to six weeks for anti-aging and scar revision
Repeat treatment every two or three weeks for pigmentation correction
Repeat treatment every four weeks for hair restoration treatments
Depending on the individual needs, three to six treatment sessions are recommended to achieve visible improvement and adequate correction of the skin.
What Do I Need to Avoid Before Treatment?
Avoid retinoids and treatments for autoimmune disease for 24 hours before treatment.
Avoid sun exposure on the treated area for at least 24 hour prior to treatment.
Avoid this treatment while taking Acutance/Isotretinoin within the last six months.
